With this specialized chess set for the visually impaired, the game of strategy opens up to all blind and visually impaired people. Made from MDF, walnut, walnut veneer and maple veneer, the pieces are in alder.

Thanks to its magnetic system, the black chess pieces remain firmly in place and cannot be overturned. The embossed board allows you to follow and deviate from the squares. This chess set is therefore perfectly suited to touch-palming for the visually impaired.

The Staunton design of the chess pieces is a classic. The pieces are stored in the cassette.

Board games like chess require thought, logic and concentration, while offering maximum playing pleasure.

Dimensions of the open chess set: 300 x 300 x 27 mm - squares 33 mm

Chess is considered one of the world's oldest strategy games. It is presumed that chess was invented 4,000 years ago in India and Persia, and then spread throughout the world. Modern chess, as we know it today, is around 2,000 years old. It is one of the world's most popular games.

Chess is an exciting game of strategy for two people. It is played with a black-and-white 8x8-square board and wooden pieces. The design of wooden chess pieces is now codified and approved by the International Chess Federation. The Staunton design is the most widespread: conceived by Nathaniel Cooke and approved by English chess player Howard Staunton in 1849.

Although the aim of chess is simple (to check the king), it is also highly complex and subtle.
