These beech caps provide a perfect aesthetic finish for all woodworking and cabinetmaking projects. The hole cover is inserted into the canopies or drill holes that house the heads of screws, bolts or lag bolts. The cap hides the assemblies of the various wooden parts.

The hole cover is 2.4 cm in diameter maximum and fits into a 20 mm hole. The male part (invisible) measures 3 to 4 mm.

Rough wood allows you to glaze wood to the desired color for a discreet finish on furniture or handcrafted objects of your own making. It also provides a traditional aesthetic.

Dimensions of beechwood hole cover: 2.40 cm diameter × 0.90 cm

Number of beechwood hole covers per lot: 10 pieces

How to repair a wooden board with an unsightly knot or hole?

  1. If the knot is still in place, use a wood bit the diameter of the plug to create a perfectly round hole.
  2. Use sanding paper, either on the plug or on the hole, to make the plug very slightly larger than the hole in the wood. Test it and make sure the plug is flush with the surface of the board.
  3. Apply wood glue to the hole and plug.
  4. Insert the plug, tapping lightly with a hammer.
  5. If necessary, tighten the plug with a clamp to hold the assembly in place while the glue dries. Leave to dry for at least 24 hours.
  6. Sand the plug and wood with a fine abrasive to even out the surface of the board.
  7. Apply a wood finish (optional), such as oil or varnish.
