Shut the Box", also known as "stage fright", is a game of chance and strategy.

The aim of this popular counter game is to close all - or as many as possible - of the pinewood flaps using the number of points indicated by the dice.

The player can decide whether to add up the points of each die, or break down the points of the 2 dice. It's a simple dice-combination game that helps youngsters develop their thinking and arithmetic skills.

The 2 dice are included in the game box. The pine wood comes from sustainably managed forests and is FSC-certified.

This is a travel version of the game. It is designed for the solo player, with 12 numbered pinewood shutters.

A game of Shut the Box is played in a number of rounds determined at the start of the game. Players play one after the other. Each player rolls the 2 dice until he's blocked and can't lower any more flaps.

At the start of the round, all the flaps are raised, so that the numbers can be read clearly.

After a throw, the player may lower one or more flaps if the sum of the flaps equals the sum of the 2 dice. For example, if the player rolls 4 and 2, he can lower either the number 6, or 5 and 1, or 4 and 2, or even 3, 2 and 1.

As the game progresses, the possibility of closing flaps diminishes. So you have to be strategic to reverse the right flaps.

It's a game with twists and turns that can be played by 2 or more players, guaranteeing fun for the whole family.
