AMARANTE (Peltogyne pubescens)
Amaranth wood is a sparsely grained wood with an extraordinary natural pink/purple color of varying shades. The particularity of this wood is that it takes its color from the sun: the more light it is exposed to, the more pronounced the violet. Polishing enhances its grain, giving it moiré reflections that reinforce the effect of depth. It grows mainly in Brazil and French Guiana.
