Tips for using Palo Santo wood shavings:

Place a small quantity of shavings in a heat-resistant container (e.g. ceramic). Light them from underneath with a lighter or matches. If necessary, use a whole Palo Santo stick as a candle (see photo).

Wait a few seconds, then when the wood begins to burn, extinguish by blowing out the flame. The Palo Santo will begin to burn and emit an intensely fragrant smoke. The ritual of fumigation, purification and relaxation can begin.
