Originally from Japan, Shogi is a game of strategy. As in traditional chess, the aim is to capture the opponent's king.

Compared to chess, shogi has some tasty differences, as well as additional rules that make the game even more interesting. One of these differences is that pieces can be captured and reused. Their number doesn't diminish over the course of the game, and the suspense is permanent. The other major difference with classical chess is the possibility of "promoting" pawns, which widens the range of their movements on the birch board. Pine pieces become stronger and the game becomes more exciting.

Dimensions of the Shogi chess set in pine and birch: 260 x 260 x 12 mm

Duration of a Shogi game: 60 min
